Oloukun Edges Brewster, Murat Domintes Demchenko

At the Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, Gbenga Oloukun (17-1, 10KOs) won a razor-clsoe eight round decision over former heavyweight champion Lamon Brewster (35-5, 30KOs). The scores were 77-75, 77-75 and 79-76. Brewster allowed himself to get outworked in the early rounds and then couldn't pull out the knockout punch when he sensed the fight was on the table and Oloukun was starting to tire. [details]

Brewster needs to seriously think about where his career is going and whether it's time to call it quits.

      Brewster is finished.

Wladimir Klitschko ruined Brewster and took his soul.

Wow, what a rotten career downturn. He'll probably score some more foreign fights off name recognition, but his days as a legitimate title contender must be over....

What about Gbenga Oloukun? Is this guy any good? By the look of the pics, he's got a great physique and looks to be in good shape. This win over Brewster might launch this guys career...

I thought Oloukun was a good prospect, before he lost to Charr, not even lost, he got knocked out by a man who is no puncher at all. I thought Brewster would finish this guy easy in round 2 or 3. Great win for Oloukun, big upset!! I would like to see the fight but i cant!

Oloukun is a tough guy and a strong puncher. But he seems to have poor defense - he was easy to hit in the fight with Charr, who was landing a lot of flush shots. That's the only fight of his I've seen.

I imagine Brewster must have landed some good punches today, so perhaps his power isn't near what it was back in the days when he fought Golota and Krasniqi.

Almost every title fight Brewster was in was a brutal fight. his fights against Klitschko, Krasniqi and Lyakhovich took everything out of him. I dont think he was the same after the damage to his eye in the fight against Lyakhovich.
