I have to give Akhmadaliev major props here. 90% of new champs would pick a complete pushover for their first defense. Especially if that first defense is also their first time fighting back at home. This is a damn good fight.

This next fight is legit, Iwasa is no joke, a legit top 10 fighter at 122, probably should have beat Doheny. This will be a test for Akhmadaliev who only has 12 rounds at the highest level and that Roman fight was really close

Yup. You guys know I follow a lot of Japanese boxing. People will look at Iwasa's L's and shrug him off, but it's different over there. In Japan you're expected to fight for your first world title within your first ten fights. They don't marinade or pad their records.

Plus the L against Doheny was debatable too, as you mentioned.
