...Crawford has 6 or 7 fights at WW and he's been turned down by Pacman, Danny Garcia, and Spence. His next fight is the first time in his career PBC fighters are at least publicly requesting to fight. Porter tops that list along with Thurman. Spence absolutely does not want the fight. Pacman gets a pass because he's 42 years old and has done it all. Danny Garcia absolutely does not want the fight.

Crawford might have a weak resume but he cant force people to fight him

Its arguable it doesn't even matter. Manny is a mainstream name folks that have watched less than 5 fights in their life know. That has huge value for Bud & his next few & likely his last few in boxing. It makes him a more attractive option for Errol & other guys in bigger fights that boxing could sell to the masses better. Assuming Manny loses to Bud of course which I don't think is a lock to happen.

Porter is Bud's "big fight" .... can't make this up. Cong**** on doing what Danny Garcia, Thurman, Brook, Spense, Berto, Paulie have already done....fight Porter. Maybe after this Crawford belongs in the top 5 all time!

Well argued. I guess I wasn't thinking about the impact it would have on a potential Crawford and Spence showdown. Maybe the only way we get that fight is if Bud were to defeat Manny and really cross over into the mainstream. I feel like Crawford will easily defeat Manny, but I wouldn't have felt that way if Manny were even 2 years younger. I just think 42 and a long layoff is asking too much. No matter what Manny is a legend whose career dwarfs that of Crawford, whose resume is sadly empty of marquee names.

Doubt it, Coppinger announced a few days later that they were looking to make Crawford vs Pacquiao in Abu Dhabi. Porter is the back up plan if that fight cannot be finalized.

Luckily for Porter, while he tested positive, he just had mild symptoms such as loss of smell and taste.

Yeah that is a good point
