I love facts and logic. Manny’s biggest career payday was vs Floyd. Prior to that (and even after), he NEVER once made even $50 Million. Those are facts.
Now let’s go to logic; How is it possible that Manny could offer Marquez $100 Million when he never even made half that (until he fought Floyd of course)?
Lastly, Marquez KO’d Manny (he had also dropped him with the sand punch in the 3rd round of the same fight), and arguably won the other 3 fights, so why fight Manny again.
Marquez flattened out Manny a single punch. Manny could not do that to Brandon Rios or Broner or Mosley or Clottey or Thurman or Vargas or Floyd ... I could go on.

            .....

aaah, so that is why Marquez has been training

this is actually one of the more interesting " exhibitions "... of former fighters

both are reasonably recently removed from the sport, not like they are coming back after decades of inactivity

still... just a exhibition, no idea why people would pay to see that

i used to try to manifest a Cotto-Marquez happening. we aren't getting it when it might've made the most sense (even then, Cotto's particular skillset and the idea that his characteristics being too big/imposing made me doubt its happening, but Marquez could very likely have proven me wrong also), but we're still getting to see it nonetheless - under a different light, it's still as appealing.

I'd take Cotto, in with whoever, like i would've in like 2016/whenever the what ifs began.

              I appreciate both, and this.

The Marquez that KOed Pacquiao would have beat Cotto at 151 pounds. It's more fun to think about that than see this exhibition.

                  - Pacquiao while asleep, after said punch.

Its definitely not in a good why when old retired fighters are smart enough to see the young active fighters aren't fighting each other enough so there is money on the table for the old retired fighters to scoop up with fights like this.
