Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor Named BBBofC Boxer of The Year For 2020

Josh Taylor has been named as the BBBofC Boxer of the Year for 2020 after an incredible period for the unified world champion. The consideration period for the award was between 1st August 2019 and 31st December 2020, with the Tartan Tornado winning two fights during that time.

Josh Taylor and Tyson Fury are the UK's best.

Anymore info to come? IE: Trainer, overseas fighter, prospect, promoter ECT. I've checked the BBBofC website, but there's nothing there.

Look at the boxingscene trying to find any reason to praise and put the spot-light on the 'Tart-Tomato' Josh Taylor! We are nearly in the second quarter of 2021, I feel this article was not necessary. Nobody talks about Josh Taylor, his own fans know Jose Ramirez is going to beat him.

Fury's domination over Wilder was better than anything Taylor achieved last year.

Are you jealous of the 'Tarto-Tomato' bro? Josh, is already unified with multiple defenses and actually has a date to fight for the jr. welterweight undisputed title. Yeah I think you are, I think you might be even rooting for Jose Ramirez, just to knock Taylor off as the UK's most accomplished fighter.

Fury is British P4P #1 by some distance. Taylor a good boxer, but i don't like the guy, he's an England hater.

Maybe you typed in BBC instead of BBBoC.

I read some tweets that you might not appreciate, the messages from the UK fans seem to indicate that Josh Taylor, even though Irish, is more loved in England than Tyson, since Taylor actually fights in the UK, for the UK. Here is the order of approval by the Brits : Anthony Joshua, Amir Khan, Josh Taylor, Ted Cheeseman, Carl Frampton, Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce and Tyson Phooey coming in last.
