in a corrupt sport great shi tain is the most corrupt. maybe Povetkin got paid off not to even bother training like they paid off Ruiz in the rematch with joshua. that is two fights in england where in the rematch the guy that killed the british fighter doesnt even train. hmmmm. why the Russian went back to england for this fight is beyond me. he should have said we fight in Russia or no fight

Showed his age slightly??? He had trouble getting to the ring! He was stumbling for thirty seconds in the first round without being hit!

          “slightly”

Froch is being very gentle on his comments, Provetkin looked like a shop worn fighter being physically abused by his dad. He not only looked like a fighter of his age at 41 but more of one who didn’t need to be close to anyone in a ring doing battle. I hope this is the end, he had a great ride!

Povetkin had no business being in that ring last night and we all know.

I'm sure he felt pressured to take the fight. It has already been delayed. It was a PPV. Big cheque coming his way, but it was just farcical really. The Cheeseman fight was superb, and whilst Cheeseman is far from world-class, boy does he have balls and bring entertainment every time.
I agree with everything you wrote there. Everyone could see it and it is dodgy. Not Whyte's fault and I suppose it's hard to know where to draw the line -- on the one hand, fighter's have a right to keep their condition to themselves if they aren't 100%, but on the other, not if they aren't up to a basic required level of fitness. The trouble with boxing is that serious damage is always the intent, so it's hard to argue how much it should be mitigated against.

But, yeah, is there a doctor out there who knew Povetkin was weak as a kitten, for example?

Slightly? Lol this man couldn’t keep balance when nothing was landing on him. He shouldn’t have been in there.
