lol, he's underestimating him by starting a full month ahead of Pacquiao while Pacquiao is shooting movies, possibly training in Ph. to continue doing his nonboxing things while training. If anything, Pacquiao might have the taper off mentality in his mind already. I was wondering how long could he possibly keep going with the hunger as if he's going for his first world championship. After covering his fights since first Barrera fight, this is first time I think I see some bend in his attitude towards boxing. Either he fully believes Cotto is what he saw in the Clottey fight, or he just is losing the hunger finally.

Cotto isn't underestimating Pac at all,but he deserves to be confident, after all he edged Mosley, who is bigger & stronger & just as fast as Pacman!!I think it's the whole Pacman stans not fans that forget who Cotto is & has fought & show him no respect!!Real fight fans know this fight is for the taking by either!!

You don't get the point. cotto is getting in shape by working out in the gym with his conditioning coach... so people think he spends 10-12 weeks in training

Manny keeps himself fit by working out in his own ways such as playing basketball, being active in his other careers and working out in the gym. He spends 8 weeks with Roach when he is already in good shape for a long grind of training which would probably be the same period of time Cotto spends training with Santiago...

You cant compare Ricky Hatton to any of the fighters youve mentioned because Hatton lacks fundamental skill. chad dawson joe calzaghe paul williams bhop. all are light years ahead of what ricky hatton will ever wish to accomplish.

it was a nice effort but you have to be realistic about who floyd has beaten above 140 , a smaller man came in and did the job quicker and in a more impressive fashion.
Im talking about Pacquaio fighting cotto is equal to Cotto fighting any of those fighters in higher weight class. If i want to compare ricky hatton to any of the fighters in the higher weight class then i would've mention kelly pavlik.

He can't be underestimating him if he started training early.

I honestly think Cotto CAN beat pavlik. but even Pavlik has somewhat of a solid defense and solid chin. Whenever you see Pavlik throw a punch he always has his opposite hand up to protect himself. Face it Ricky Hatton has always been overrated. The guys was made to order for anyone with speed and or counterpunching ability.

I knew exactly what you were talking about. But there are too many variables to consider. you cant just mention the most skilled fighters of the higher divisions and compare them to hat pacquiao has faced at 147-140.

DLH was done. Hatton always ******.

Paul Williams at 154-160 and 147 is the livest SOB out there. BHOP is cagy and so on.

What im trying to get at is that Pacquiaos oppositon wasnt that impressive. If David Diaz can get further than DLH and Hatton. that tells you a lot.

If Cotto fought BHOP at a catchweight of 158-160. I would give Cotto a good chance to win
