Yeah, that was my take-home message too that if the WBC talked to all parties as they stated they did (talked to promoters and fighters) and then ordered the fight, it must have been accepted and agreed upon verbally at least by all parties.

It also makes think Haney vs Garcia actually happens if Haney beats Linares and Garcia beats Fortuna.

Al Haymon is salivating over this matter. First, Garcia beats Fortuna. I know my boy Ring IQ loves Fortuna because they are Dominicano up in this hoe, but Javier gets sparked.

This is a sensitive matter. If this goes to a purse bid, meaning the PBC gang pricing themselves out, means to troll DAZN vs Triller. DAZN wouldn’t want to be in a situation like that since no telling how much Triller would put up. Plus Oscar recently tweeted that DAZN heads didn’t respect Vergil’s fight with attendance. Would Oscar want to fancy a Triller appearance and PPV? Ryan is great for DAZN, but his retention IMO is valued at $19.99 for a show, not a PPV Triller price north of $50.

GBP could easily make offers for any fight and not worry about this interim belt. Wouldn’t be surprised if Garcia vacated this belt to begin with. GBP ain’t funna let PBC take them to a purse bid; this ain’t Teixeira vs Castano value

The WBC are motherfarkers. Is Haney incapacitated? No. He can fight. The interim belt should only exist so long as the actual champ can't fight. Garcia should be fighting Haney as mandatory, or the interim belt should be taken back by the organisation and put on a shelf in a dark room and not seen again. It should not be defended as a belt that exists simultaneously in parallel with an active champ. Adding insult to injury, the WBC also have Lopez as their franchise champ, whatever that means.

The WBC needs to decide who they have declared as their champ at LW. Let them have the belt and defend it and take back all the other worthless green belts floating around in the same division. It's a disgrace.

It is about time gets some type of shot. He has earned it and he will be a handful against any of the top guys. He is a very live dog.

Fortuna is a solid opponent. He can make it an ugly fight and possibly put Garcia in tough spot. It'll be an ugly fight but well worth seeing.

So much for all the talk of young Garcia vs Davis or Pacquiao.

This fight makes more since to me. Garcia was trying to talk his way to a big PPV showdown between either Tank or Pac, but he doesn't deserve that kind of payday from us yet.
