American boxer pulls 20+ defenses....he's a legend. Eastern boxer does it......overrated, nothing but bums(though the american did the same), scared to come to America, etc.

Show boating with class? Come on... show boating is show boating, its just people being bitter that Calzaghe did beat what was admittedly a past prime Roy Jones, they were being bitter and were trying to make as many digs at Joe as they can... lets be fair here, that's all I am saying.

And I remember one person on here saying it was disrespectful of Joe... well why didn't they think it was disrespectful of Jones?

Joe was planning on it being his last fight, he wanted to go out on a high.

Calzaghe showboating is equivalent of Bolo Yueng flexing his pecks in Enter the Dragon and Eddie Chambers flexing his pecks against Dimtrenko. When Bolo does it you think i wished i had a chest like that when Eddie does it your like WTF are doing jiggling those boobs about its embarrassing.

he "almost" fought everyone. he wouldn't fight glen johnson.

He signed to fight him and got a serious injury. Then he tried to postpone twice but the second time, Johnson lost patience and pulled out and fought Roy Jones instead. Which you certainly can't blame Johnson for. But Calzaghe badly wanted that fight and said that when it fell through, that was the low point of his entire career, because he thought then that he'd never get any big fights.

Warren is mostly to blame for the fact that he got so few big fights before that. But in the big fights that he did get (Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, etc.) he fought impressively.

Also, many of the so-called "bums" he fought were last minute replacements for other more credible fighters who had pulled out. Even Brewer was a replacement when Echolls pulled out.

And many of the other "bums" were mandatories. He'd have been stripped if he hadn't fought them.

he never fought the "other guy" with 21 title defenses in the same division at the same exact time as him.

He called out Ottke many times but Ottke made it clear he wasn't interested.
