  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis Charged With 14 Counts Of Traffic Violations From Alleged Hit-And-Run In Baltimore

Gervonta Davis will now have to speak to charges implicating the boxer in a hit-and-run incident which left four people injured. The Baltimore City State's Attorney's office has charged the unbeaten two-division titlist with 14 counts of traffic violations stemming from a Nov. 2020 hit-and-run in the boxer's hometown. The most serious charges suggest that Davis allegedly fled the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, along with driving on the highway while his license was suspended and revoked--each of which separately carry a maximum one-year sentence.

Davis, 26, was indicted Monday in Baltimore Circuit Court. The charges stem from a crash that occurred in the early morning hours of Nov. 5, after Davis had been snapped celebrating his birthday at a downtown club and just days after the undefeated boxer’s latest win in the ring.

The charges include failure to remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, failure to render reasonable assistance to an injured person, driving on a suspended license and related charges. All are misdemeanors, the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office said, and the most serious charges each carry up to a year in jail.
This is not a new crime - back in November he was "linked" to the crime. This is them putting it on him. But if you notice the charges, they're basically slaps on the wrist because he ran and likely can't prove he caused it.

Yeah he is going to need to fight at least 2-3 Times this year in big fights for big money because Lawyer Fees as well as Settlement Payouts are going to pile up on him real quick. Nobody should be this F^CKING ****** in 2021 especially when he actually has money to pay a Driver to Drive him around

I think it better punishment if he gets hit harder by monetary civil suits than the penal system. Him getting locked up with tilt is not going to do anything to him. But hitting him hard in his pocket would be more affective.

If he can’t handle having money then he shouldn’t have it.

At this point as long as he gets hit hard in the pocket and that doesn’t change him. Eventually his broke azz will commit another crime and at that point his broke azz will get sent to prison.

Hate to see this. I like Tank but he needs to keep a different company around him. He seems like a good guy

The writing is on the wall, kids a hooligan, he just can’t shake the criminal mindset and I don’t see his career lasting before he eventually catches a long felony case
