Comments Thread For: Whyte on Fury vs. Joshua: It's Hard To Pick, It's a 50-50 Fight

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte is only a few days away from his anticipated rematch with Alexander Povetkin, which takes place on March 27 in Gibraltar. Back in August, Whyte was knocked out in five rounds by Povetkin. He would quickly exercise an immediate rematch clause.

If Fury wasn't such a goof, getting fat and who knows what, it wouldn't be 50-50. That Kronk Fury didn't last long.

Get a life it's just his genetics, Fury takes a couple of weeks off to give his body a rest & casuals & haters get all over it.
You should be on a body building forum staring at muscles.

For once I'm going to actually agree with Whyte, somehow his bs level was turned off.
I enjoyed Ajs rise but then he said in that sky interview in 18 with Johnny Nelson "i won't be rushed into the Wilder fight" when asked when he said"19 20 21"Hearn then said 2020. Quack. Hearn even said "maybe he'll loose by then" Coincidence that's how it turned out exactly & now they're open to a 5050 fight.
Then Ajs reign of moneyball boxing began alway's picking the oldest slowest fighter's available. 4 of his last 6 are 38-41 & Fury will be Ajs first top 2 heavyweight.
Fury bore meat no defences beats the long standing world number 1 & unfortunately had a mental breakdown, what he's achieved by coming back & beating another world number 1 (aj just lost to #15 ruiz) to finish his collection of all the belts is miraculous.
Both flawed but Fury's already had 2 legacy fight's & i think that prepares Fury better than Aj fighting 4 past it slow old men Ruiz & Parker who wasn't allowed to hit back.
If its a jabbing match Fury wins. If a brawl breaks out & there's preasure Aj gasses & he's fragile. Aj can catch Fury though i just hope after the fight we won't be talking about an Edward paid ref again.

You're talking rubbish. Joshua' last 6 opponents:
          • Klitschko - yes an old man, but it was a fight for the WBA world championship and thus it's a fight he should have been going for in order to unify.
          • Takam - old but he was IBF mandatory challenger; Joshua didn't pick to fight Takam... the IBF installed him as the mandatory and thus Joshua HAD to fight him else lose the title.
          • Parker - not old, once again a fight for a world championship.
          • Povetkin - Old again... was also the WBA mandatory and thus once again Joshua had no choice but to fight him, else we wouldn't be in a position to have a full unification with Fury.
          • Ruiz - not old.
          • Pulev - Old but IBF mandatory challenger again; repeat same points previously made.
So basically the only old man Joshua actively chose to fight was Klitschko for the WBA world championship; which was also the fight that put him on the map. All of the other old men he's fought he's had to in order to keep hold of the belts he'd worked to obtain... Also Wilder was never the world number 1. Wilder was a completely unproven champion with lots of soft defences who's breakout defence was beating Ortiz (who ironically is an old man).

Wlad was indeed long reigning champion but he was, in your standard an old man 39, and was obviously past his prime when Fury fought him. Despite that Fury was scared to rematch him. And Wilder was an overprotected American hype job, a one trick pony who had fought nobodies before his cherry pick went wrong with Fury. Fury is a great boxer but he's apparently overrated at the moment. You see there is much to say about both fighters and that the reason why this fight is a 50/50 fight. We shall see how this fight is going to unfold if it does happen, you never know, Fury might get mental breakdown again.

Moneyball doesn't mean what you think it means.

Fury isn't getting fat or drinking. It's Fury playing games as usual.
