    For Everyone Booing...

And my boxing evening ended with that satisfying sentence from one of the least likely people I EVER thought I would hear say that.

Fort Worth showed out tonight at the Ortiz v Hooker fights. For those unaware, do your homework on Fort Worth and you'll see from 1980-2000 it was (IMO) the second deepest boxing city behind Detroit in the US. I used to bide my time between Gorman's (RIP), (in the Funk) and that Pea**** in East London before it become world renoknowed. During my days at Goremans we put out FIVE world Champions, two of them having a short stint as #1 P4P (the kiss of death around here.)

Regarding tonight, well I been watching Hooker since his armature days, and while I cannot say I know him well, as someone I've been around for many years now, I obviously have a bit of a soft spot for him. Kid is a real family man....he got like 8-9 kids, and got no dirt on his name.

This is why I was really disappointed at these no-boxing knowing, "let's go to the fight because weI jumping no the bandwagon regarding dude our boxing friends told us about, disrespecting the 10 count for Hagler and a local coaching legend, and then steady embarrassing themselves by booing Hooker after he showed out like 100% of us who know what he do....did.

. This is no knock on Vergil, whom I fully support--have been, I got hella satisfaction when Mo laid his **** down on th mic post-fight. That is waaaaaay out of his character, but he just had enough (here's a hint...respect the game). I mean it's cool to boo pre-fight (even though you know nothing abiout the person you are booing)...but post-fight after he showed out? Just move on to the next trendy thing. Come correct, else boxing don't need or want ya.

That's all I got but it was great night. Mo will be back. In ring he as fan-friendly as it gets. i'm not even on the fact Ortiz got lumped up...I seen Errol get lumped up (ringside) when he fought Barrera...in fact I cannot think of any champion I been around who didn't get lumped up once they faced that A level chin. Trust me, there are plenty of 47 cats who will eat his **** and dog walk him so he better know.

Yes its disgusting, but its a waste of time trying to change it(Texas has some ****** fans that have done this before, its because citys in Texas are grimey af imho) (even though I wish I could move to Texas)

Hooker is a skilled fighter that just doesn't have a chin, but if he ever developed punch resistance he'd be a top 10 imho.(hes miles better than Mikey,Brook,& Khan imo) I think Hooker just has taken on 2 elite opponents too soon back to back,& both are his kryptonite,he needs to season more imo & strengthen that body.

If he didn’t want people to boo him, he shouldn’t have quit.

He acted like a typical goon

fighters get booed all the time but they act professional these are fans who pay money to see you fight and not give up.
