  • Beterbieve at CW would be like Canelo at Lhw accomplishment wise!?

Beterbieves talking about going to CW if it's worth it, & its been brushed off by seemingly everyone as not realistic or not something lhws should aspire to,but somehow explain to me why its any different than 5'8" Canelo fighting Kovalev at lhw past midnight when he had plenty of time to come in over 200 lbs?(he only had to weigh 185 the morning of the fight, plenty of time to gain another 15 lbs before the fight after midnight.)

For that matter, why should Beterbieve be at a disadvantage against CWs who are like Callum Smiths size with extra padding,& whom don't weigh much more than Beterbieve on fight night? (Because CWS don't really rehydrate like lhws do,that would just slow them down at that point)

Speed kills,& Beterbieve at CW would mean he would be faster than true cws at least imo.

If Beterbieve beats Bivol he should move up to CW, I have no doubt he'll beat at least several top Cws bare minimum.

Brushed off by who? Beterbiev was a heavyweight in the amateurs. He dropped Usyk with a body shot and beat Michael Hunter.

Yes and no. He fought at heavyweight because Russia had Kov at LHW. Politics in the ams are bull****. I had 4 fights at HW while weighing around 180lbs lol

also, I still think he won that Usyk fight. I remember him talking about wanting to fight him again in the pros, but that would require jumping to HW

I'm just saying he could campaign at 200 lbs. He's done it successfully enough to compete with the current batch of cruisers other than Briedis.

Oh I think he could too, but with Usyk, Gassiev and Breidis moving up, what’s the point? To fight Okolie?
