Also don't hear me the wrong way, I am not defending this Beteriev fight, its a garbage fight that I don't want to see. Obviously the one I want is Beterbiev vs. Bivol. But I'm not going to go out of my way to badmouth him since I really don't think it's his fault and nobody really gives a damn who Beterbiev fights. Although he could have managed his career better, doesn't fight enough.

You will be held to a higher standard and be forced to face better opponents. That's the same way they treat guys like Brady in the NFL. UFC top guys. LeBron in the NBA. Because right now connelo is transcending boxing and if you want to talk about how his name is mentioned with guys like Brady, LeBron, Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, then that means he has to be held to their standard. Nobody cares about who Beterbiev fights because, well, nobody cares about Beterbiev. Talented as he may be. If Beterbiev were the pound for pound king of boxing making $400 million contracts and he had 10 guys begging to fight him then I'd go all in on him for fighting this guy.
Agreed, I've always wanted to see Alvarez fighting the best out there.

      BJS-Plant-Charlo-Benavidez.

Hopefully Alvarez fights all of them, only thing I'm not cool thou is these guys waiting in the sidelines doing nothing waiting for the Alvarez payday, crossing my fingers Charlo and Benavidez square off.

Cliff Rold is a good writer. Unfortunately Beterbiev won't be fondly remember as he's already 36 and has not fought many name fighters partly because they avoid him. Canelo vs Alvarez? Fat chance. Kovalev? Only if he wants a pay day to get knocked out. The hard core fans who have seen Bererbiev fight know who he is.

Beterbiev is the real bad man of boxing. Avoided fighter.

Everybody wants to fight Canelo for a big payday. Canelo doesn`t hurt people. When you fight Beterbiev, your life is in danger.

No he's not. He might be as bad but he certainly isn't any worse.

How so? Andre Dirrell is highly ranked and some say he was robbed in that fight.

He's been in with two highly regarded boxers. Can't say the same for this dude.
