Right, the best style is the one you can consistently win fights with.

You have to have a good trainer who knows what they have in a fighter and if he has some great attributes that can be employed in an effective manner.

I don't really watch the small guys too often so I could be way off in saying this, but, I think the japs might be more inclined to using a high guard and walking their opponents down where as the filipinos seem to be more into combinations.
