As soon as the bell rings, Calzaghe would be up in Toney's grill throwing flurries and bringing the heat. He would out land Toney tenfold. Hopkins tried throwing less but precise punches against Calzaghe but still didn't win the fight because Calzaghe's workrate was too much to overcome. Toney wouldn't know what to do either.

    Calzaghe wide UD.

Yes, Joe would outwork and outclass him for a wide UD. Toney would be overwhelmed and confused by Joe's punches from all angles.

For a man touted with such skills Toney did resort to being a one dimensional fighter an awful lot in his prime didn't he?

It's very possible Toney get's outworked. He got outworked by Mike Mccallum the second time around leaving Toney to spend the majority of the fight shooting off the right hand

Toney's prime is very overrated,An extremely padded record with nothing to show but Mccallum,Nunn and a few gift wins

Toney is good but Calzaghe is a bad matchup. Toney is a pure counterpuncher, but it's hard for a counterpuncher to get any rhythm going against somebody who keeps on punching, especially somebody with good footwork and footspeed.

                  Calzaghe owns Toneys ass.

Calzaghe in his prime was way faster than what he was against Hopkins or RJJ, had more stamina, better movement and have lots of power.

Calzaghe in his prime could of beat any SMW in history including prime RJJ!!!!!
