Danny 'Swift' Garcia Seemingly CONFIRMS Moves Up To 154

It's a video so it is what is. But if he's as serious as he makes it seem in this, it's a HUGE mistake. He has no power at 147, there's no way he's going to do much at 154 and even then, fight Thurman again? Why?

He’s not going to do anything at 154, in fact I see him getting stopped and then possibly retirement.

That will be a huge mistake for Danny if he moves up. Danny has not won big fights at 147lbs and hasn't really hurt any top welterweights. His added muscle has slowed him down and he telegraphs his punches. It will just be worse at 154lbs. He should try to fight Crawford, Broner, M.Garcia, or Pacquiao for a nice payday. Not sure he beats them tho. Maybe just Broner.

He won't fight anyone any time soon and will take a few soft touches. Danny isn't getting sparked by anyone but he doesn't have the frame to overwhelm anyone at 154.

Danny's is going to try to place himself in line for a shot at a vacant title once Jermell moves up in weight.

I wonder how much weight he's put on since the Spence fight? His face looks pretty full here.

The bottom line is Danny became irrelevant at 147. I for one wish him well.

Honestly, there aren't many fights left for him at 147, he was just below the top guys there, so I don't see why it's a bad move to try your hand at 154 where the division isn't as deep and there are a lot of PBC guys to try your hand at

I don’t really see what he does at 154.

It’s not like he’s some slick smaller boxer that can outbox bigger fighters. His style relies on having good power and he didn’t even carry that up to welterweight, Hence why he lost his big fights.

He's going to need to adjust his style to have a good chance to become a player at 154.
