I know we all must go sometime, but I'm truly hurt on this one. There is a Hagler/Hearns book dropping later this year. I already got my preorder locked in.

Damn I never read anywhere that he was ill or anything. What an absolute legend, an all time American great and his battles with Hearns are some of my earliest memories of falling in love with this sport.

I still go back to those fights time to time. It may be the Whiskey talking, I've had a few, but I'm actually a bit emotional at this news.

        RIP Sir.

R.I.P to one of the all time greats, before my time but i enjoyed all his classics from viewing them later on.

My Dad is the same age and he was a massive fan of him and all the other greats in the 70's and 80's, he told me all about the likes of Hagler, Hearns, Duran and Leonard and I'm sure he will phone me later on to talk about this legend

I usually just pay respects and move on. This has affected me unusually hard. I was a Hearns fan. It doesn’t make sense
