Quite a shock to hear that arguably one of the greatest middleweights ever to pass away at just 66. It's not young, but it's not that old either.

Being a southpaw and a fan of the 'Fab 4' rivalry I always enjoyed Hagler's fights - and for the record, I believe he did win the fight with Leonard - just. Perhaps this isn't the time and place for such talk, but a great fighter will be missed.

I was on line in real time on TMZ. At the same time I was logged in to Boxing Scene. I was in shock 45 mins later nothing on Boxing Scene. It was already global. So I PM'ed "The Don" still nothing (about 15 mins after) the first announcement. Finally something was posted almost three hours later. Boxing Scene dropped the ball and we are better than that!

Hagler looked healthy and strong as an Ox last time I seen him interviewed. The vaccine killed him.

My first boxing hero as a 5 year old growing up in Scotland (I started early). My earliest boxing memory is of Marvin demolishing Alan Minter in 1980, and after that I was hooked.
