Well you got the likes of Ugas and Crawford demanding 50-50 so I hope all those PBC fans who demanded 50-50 for Wilder v Joshua stick to the same narrative and back Crawford and Ugas here.
Joshua held way more belts than Wilder and was a very clear A side with his drawing power yet it needed to be 50-50. Spence can claim the same things Joshua claimed now so 50-50 should still be good.
Ugas is the only choice Spence prefers. Not wants. He WANTS Crawford (but Crawford has to accept B-Side) or Manny (for the payday).
He prefers to fight Ugas because Ugas has a belt.
But worst case, he can let Ugas fight Keef for that same belt, knowing Keef beats him, then fight Keef to take the belt from him in a much more lucrative fight than Ugas OR Crawford, simply because of the awesome trash talking we'll get to hear.
OR
Let Shawn rematch Ugas (which I know Shawn doesn't want), Shawn takes the belt and redeems his questionable win, Spence/Porter 2 which is an in-demand fight for big money to unify.
OR
Vergil Ortiz Jr. (who is mandatory) fights Ugas to unify WBA. Winner gets Spence.
OR
Abdukakarov who is highly ranked in three of four orgs faces Ugas. Winner gets Spence.
Spence has more options than you assume, brother.
Spence could also make Crawford the “B-side” by beating him, and vice versa.
I’m all for fighters maximizing their earnings, which is why Spence shouldn’t care how much Crawford gets as long as he (Spence) is well-compensated.
The Spence-Crawford winner (or anyone who beats one of them) will automatically be the A-side going forward anyway. The only fighter who could demand purse parity at that point would be Pacquiao
Here's the problem. Ugas comes off looking ******.
How can you, with 4 losses and (basically) an "email title" (according to NSB) be worth equal to a guy who beat Top 5's for both belts he holds, is undefeated AND is a PPV draw?
I mean, I don't even put Ugas equal to Crawford at this point and I damn sure wouldn't give Crawford 50% for his resume.
No...I say, Ugas' BEST bargaining position is to say, "Uncle Al, give me whatever you think I'm worth, I want the fight" - like Floyd against De La Hoya. Period.
Nah. Ugas wants to hold on to the belt for bigger paydays.

If Ugas think there's a decent chance he will lose, then it makes financial sense for him to just hold onto the belt and fight mandatories or no-hopers ... unless Spence gives him a big payday. So if Spence wants the belt, he needs to step up financially.
