  • Comments Thread For: Hearn on Fury-Joshua: I Think We Are Days Away From Announcement

Eddie Hearn says that an announcement over a fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is "days away" and has suggested it might be possible for the fight to take place in Las Vegas. Fury gave an interview this week appearing quite downcast about the prospects of the undisputed world heavyweight title fight happening this summer, but Hearn says things are still on track and discussions over a site have already begun.

They've been "days away" for weeks now. Still think this won't get announced until the wilder situation gets resolved.

Good to hear. After hearing furys interview yesturday he seemed like he was losing interest or just having a off day, which is common for him based on what his mrs said on there show prior to wilder fight. Nothing positive came out of him the whole time he was talking.

When they said a month they meant at least 4. When they said two weeks they meant a month or two. Now saying days presumably means a few weeks.

          At least it's getting closer.

Time to find out who actually wants this.

Still don't believe for a second that if it even happens it will actually be their next fight. Makes no sense.

I think it makes perfect sense and really needs to happen next for several reasons.

Firstly, Fury is super unstable and changes his mind like the wind . If he will sign the fight now let's move forward- he gas till June or July to.prepare and that's plenty if he applies himself to the task. He has a good trainer so.no excuses.

Second: there is the huge issue of mandatories. The whole vibe around this fight is that it's for all the marbles..if you allow a postponement it poses a serious risk of Fury ducking or a mandatory getting in the way.

Thirdly, if you postpone one of them may lose (probably not Fury cos he will rematch Sefer Seferi or someone like that) but anyway, better to move forward with it now and don't postpone.

As an.aside, Fury's waffling lately is worrisome, and his bs about being inactive. Firstly that's his own fault, but watch his Sefer Seferi fightbagain and tell me: what possible benefit can his crappy opponents really provide by way of a tune up? If he was like Dilkian Whyte, taking on Povetkin or someone like that as a tune up = fair enough, but he doesn't fight those guys. Fury is a massive fraud who is getting a severe beat down if he takes the AJ fight..he's already taken himself off social media and we all know.why - guy is sh***ing his pants and is trying to find a way out of this fight.

If it’s in Vegas it’s probably not in the summer. Wont be able to have a full crowd in MGM or TMobile center this summer.

Ya Know? I think I don't care anymore. If these two and their management are this fussy, it can't be legit. They're just playing games. Each time there's something going on it turns out to be BS. So my expectations has dropped considerably to the point of apathy.
