I like Pernell, but he didn't do **** against Oscar

Whitaker was 58 years old and was on a two week coke binge leading up to the fight and he still made oscar look foolish at times.

A post WWII Whitaker made Oscar look silly many times in that fight and dropped him.

You know I have watched that fight many times and it all depends on how you score and WHAT you score the fight on. There's no doubt Oscar chased him around for the entire fight. Granted, Pernell's defense was spectacular as it was against Tito but the results were the same.

One guy chasing, the other guy slipping and moving without returning anything consistently enough to get the W.

I gave it to Oscar.

I think Oscar got cheated vs Mosley in the second fight and against Tito Trinidad.

HE got a gifted decision against Sturm though.....

He had a damn close fight with Quartey, that one is a toss up to be honest with you. I could see scoring for Oscar I could also see scoring for Quartey.

I had that fight a draw. No argument on either guy winnin it close imo, but those cards for DLH were fuckin nuts.

I also give this fight to Pernell... but if anything it could be a draw. Oscar didn't win the fight though.

Pernell was only 33 yrs old and like 40-1. Oscar got nothing to do with Pea's problems in training.
