B-. Aside from Mormeck what other win really stands out? I give him A+ for marketing though. Haye made great money relative to his ability and success inside the ring. A great salesman but far from a great fighter.

C but his trash talk was A+. Dude lost to Tony Bellew twice and doesn't have any great wins.

I give him a B, but, looking over his record on boxrec I may be misremembering him and giving him extra credit. Dude didn't really beat anyone did he?

Should have cleared out CW before cashing in at HW. B's probably fair but I was close to an A before I looked.

His best win is against a guy who went life and death with a 50 year old Holyfield.

Got the most out of boxing while doing the least, had elite special talent but didn't really care about being great, made alot of money flapping his gums which is impressive, and has had sex with over 500 women and 20 men.

So all of that considered B+

Great fighter just a shame he had to go up against a prime Wladamir in his defining fight and couldn't really get off on him

Wladimir was a special talent and had a huge size advantage though

A- overall as a fighter, A + at cruiser weight.

For me David Haye was a complete maverick. As a fighter, there is nobody who can say? That he was not gifted. The man had speed, power, athleticism and sublime skill.

Wladimir Kiltschko only had difficult landing on two fighters 'And those fighter where Tyson Fury & David Haye' people don't want to remember these sort of things. People will try and make out that he was beaten up by Kiltschko 'In reality they both nullified each other'. Kiltschko just edged the rounds with his jab, nothing more.

Haye at times stood in-front of Kiltschko with his hands down, and was slipping Kiltschko's punches 'None of this is normal, you can only do that if you are a gifted fighter'.

David Haye unified at cruiser-weight with sensational performances, displaying a type of violence and style that the world had not seen for years. Haye could of stayed at cruiser weight, but instead he decided to blast into the heavyweight division 'I used the word blast, but that is exactly what he did'.

There was nothing timid about Haye's invasion of the Heavyweight division, he sparked out Tomasz Bonin & Monte Barrett 'Haye knocked down Barrett 5 times on course to victory' this is the same guy who went on to have two fights with David Tua resulting in 1 draw and a Win.

Haye could of been the man to change the trajectory of history 'In my opinion Tyson Fury escaped his demise, when Haye pulled out of their fight with injuries' at the time of that fight build up Tyson Fury was seen as a clumsy kid 'And he still is a clumsy kid, there are shades of clumsiness as a fighter within Fury'.

David Haye as you will all know became only the second Cruiser-weight in history to capture the heavyweight title 'In a fight were he was giving away over 8 stone in weight' B or C class fighters don't achieve the things Haye achieved 'Deep down people know this to be correct'.

I think Haye should of retired after the first Tony Bellew fight, because in that fight? Even in a loss, he gained the admiration of the real boxing fans with his courage 'Haye was too far gone in his last fight, and I believe it was a tactic by match-room to rush him into the rematch'.

I am still genuinely annoyed that Haye lost to Bellew, and I believe that defeat affected Haye in ways he has not expressed. Nevertheless overall I think he was a great fighter, champion and character within boxing 'The last real fighter I had a deep rapport with, were I would be bothered if he lost'.
