Not specific, I know. What would someone pay if they knew that Ruiz was going to win by TKO before the fight? When you look at how many people were there when Ruiz was unknown what does that say about his draw value. PPV fighting Arreola at 40 years old? They are looking at Ruiz as a potential ATM.

knowing the results before the bout kills the moment..the unknown is what made that win amazing

The win was great cause it was a huge upset. Nobody expected it. It was a twist like berchalt-valdez.
i wouldn't exactly say ruiz was unknown. He fought on the pac-rios undercard and fought like a month before the upset on regular t.v.

Him fighting on ppv is just haymon milking the mexican/latino fanbase. Same reason spencers and stanks ppv debut were against undersized mexican fighters. Gotta make da black man look gud

If Ruiz was known before Joshua he is much more known now.

I don't know if Arreola and Ruiz are Mexican fan favorites. Ruiz definitely was after he won the belts. Now I don't know.
