very interesting conversation, but lets be real i bet most of the posters here have never fought before. so let me tell you how i see it, back then boxing was huge it was along with baseball was the most popular sports in the u.s (im cuban by the way born and raised) so there for you have a larger talent pool to work from because alot more people are boxing, so you will have more talent to chose from, thus better comp and a much harder journey to a championship belt. but that being said yes as time goes by the human race gets bigger, faster, stronger and more advanced. so yes the boxers today might be better athletes but better boxers no. those boxers from the 30s to 60s fought better fighters skill wise and a lot more often so mabey it seems that the old timers can be beat by the guys of today by watching film but its not that easy. just because someones technique is nicer does not mean they are a better fighter. its a bout skill and will in the boxing ring period. if you want to judge a fighter by technique you should switch sports and watch figure skating. why are there so many good am boxers from a small island like cuba? because if you are a healthy male from cuba its almost certin you tried to box at one time, large talent pool.
¿so do you think pac can beat armstrong?
