It’s worked well for Freddy Roach.

I agree with you on this. Floyd would have to train someone as a Kid to learn all the details that floyd would want to teach. I don't think he can take on a pro boxer and help them much. Looking at floyd senior and uncle rogers history tells me this. People think floyd's skill come naturally which to some extent is true but I really believe that it's more from doing certain things over and over as a kid and ramped up the work as he got older. Floyd had the greatness from being honed by high level professional fighters who cared about him and he did not throw that gift away.

I doubt it, his ego's too big. Plus just because you know a lot doesn't mean that you can explain it well. Floyd doesn't strike me as a great communicator.

You are just being an arse because of Freddie's disabilities.

What do you really want to know? Froid isn't really a good father figure to his kids. How do you expect him to be a father figure to future champions?

Freddie on the other hand was trained by the great Eddie Futch!

Eddie Futch went on to train champions like Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Harry Homes and Trevor Berbick. Four out of the five men who beat the great Muhammad Ali.

Futch also trained Riddiick Bowe, Wayne McCullough.

Futch was in Ali's corner for "The Thrilla in Manila!"

So when you blame Freddie's disabilities you are just showing people how much about boxing you don't know.

I wouldn’t say so, he could potential get frustrated as they couldn’t execute what he teaches as he will hold everyone to his standard

also a coach really needs to be first in the gym and last out. If he was any type of coach it would be dropping in and out as a consultant. Couldn’t see him spending hours in the gym prepping things for his fighter, wrapping hands etc

plus if you look at those sparring sessions he presided over in his gym he doesn’t have enough compassion to be a coach

Floyd is a bit too unique a personality to be a really effective coach.

He could mentor and inspire young kids though.

Obviously he makes it all about himself, that's the real issue.

It's interesting how he's not using the pad work him and his uncle (RIP) were known for. I think Floyd could be an amazing trainer, but it would depend on how he would do with all the other factors that play into being a great trainer aside from boxing knowledge.

Depends on his ego. Could be another Teddy Atlas in the corner trying to steal the camera light

he seems to be training them on the business side more than anything. don't fight prime fighters, fight old guys with name value!
