Mayweather Should Not Take Marquez Lightly, Says Greenburg

Ross Greenburg, president of HBO Sports, says Floyd Mayweather Jr. should not take Juan Manuel Marquez lightly on September 19. Marquez moves up by nearly two weight divisions to face Mayweather at the catch-weight of 144-pounds. Marquez has been listed as a serious underdog in the fight. [details]

He wont, all this "hes fighting a lightweight crap" is overrated, Juan Manuel Marquez is one of the best fighters in the last ten years. Mayweather knows better than to take him lightly. YOu think hell be getting up at 3 am to run 8 miles if he wasnt taking him seriously?

I don't think Floyd is taking JMM lightly at all. I have heard minimal trash talk which means he obviously respects Juan and recognizes the skill.

Still, I don't see this fight going the distance. Juan gets hit too much and cuts easily. I see the fight being stopped somewhere in the 8th-10th round.

But I hope I'm wrong and I hope no one gets cut and its a war until the end.

"only two weight classes smaller"...those are about 10 pounds, and let's not forget he only fought at lightweight twice, which to me he is not a lightweight or lightweight is as high as he should go,no more
