Do you think there will be streams here in the U.S.?

Can you please bump this thread closer to the fight date so we don't forget?

    Thank you.

Since that fight he has improved a lot, and he won the rematch clearly.

He's now trained by the trainer of Saul Alvarez and he has really improved training in Mexico with fighters like Montiel, Mijares, etc.

The Kameda brothers are decent, other than the fam being able to talk a good game, I don't know why they are so popular. I remember hearing Koki had a reality show that was popular and from there, he got a title pretty young with single digit fights.

I remember watching Koki on the Mijares-Sasakul undercard, wasn't impressed. Naito is strong, but he lacks skills, so Kameda might be able to take him.

Also read (on maxboxing I think) that this fight was projected to get a 70+ point rating. Which is insane, good luck to them.

Koki has been talked up for a minute now, I have only seen a few of his fight but he won a belt then went to Mexico to train and was fight outing of Mexico for a minute to really work on his game so he should be somewhat improved. Naito is a grizzeled vet, if it is a fight I think Naito chances improves but if it is more of a boxing contest I think Kamea has the edge.

Interesting fight, it would be very big in Japan so that kind of rating is not suprising.

yea, a Pong-Darchinyan/Arce fight coulda, woulda, shoulda been entertaining..

He wanted to fight Arce, and Darchinyan, but his promoter wanted to protect the image of their sponsor - Red Bull (Krating Daeng). They were businessmen, they wanted to protect their fighter, twas part of their corporate risk-management. And they had another agenda to promote their brand name, that is for Pong to set a new record for the most number of successful title defenses in the flyweight division!

His battle vs Hussein Hussein was his last genuine challenge where the risk of losing was there. Pong manhandled Hussy! even before Arce got the credit for their crackling 2-fight duel highlighted on HBO, remember that poster of a smiling 'warrior' Arce with a bloody nose, cowboy hat, and a lollipop?!

I am rooting for Naito, because as far as I know, the two brothers aren't against dirty fighting, and Daki was encouraged by Koki to foul the **** out of Daisuke.. Fuck that.

                  WAR DAISUKE!!!!

Yea. i know the whole story. Arce and Darchinyan were calling out Wonjongkam but the fights just never happened. Seemed like nobody was really willing to spend the cash to get that guy out of here.

I saw both Arce/Hussein fights, the 2nd fight wasnt as good, it was the on the undercard of Corrales/Castillo 2. The first fight was a war, Arce was dominant but hussein hung in here.

Pong though, i remember how he basically dedicated his life to the sport and had an enourmous amount of defenses, but on here he was always rediculed for not fighting outside of asia or avoiding the hot fighters at the time, but honestly i already knew it was the promoter protecting him, thats why i said a guy like that who was so good for so long is now about to toil to gatekeeper status.

He just went a few days to the Phillipines, to train and spar there, so he can get some of the Warrior Spirit of his IDOL MANNY PACQUIAO, that were his words.

Koki mentions Pacquiao a lot in his interviews, and how he's inspired by Pacman achievements and all that.

                      Koki is a Pacman Groupie.
