oscar de la hoya was a bigger attraction that mayweather. he's loved by many. in fact many have heard of oscar de la hoya even if they had NEVER saw him fight. he's that famous. what about guys like TYSON? people use to flock to see for a whole round or two before he'd knockout the next man. he was a beast and people loved to see him just tear guys apart.


mayweather is a good showman. he knows how to get people's attention. sure he trash talks alot. he knows how to sell fights. and thats a great thing. but he's not the greatest mind since ali. thats not fair to compare him to ali though. for his time ali was a genius. a jimi hendrix of his time if you will.
