Joe Calzaghe was/is extremely lucky to have stayed undefeated. Think about it................ all the things that go wrong in a fight for you from broken jaw, ribs, nose to disputed knockdowns to bad decision's to having the fight stopped on cuts whether accidental or not.

In a way it can be seen as a notch for Calzaghe in that he managed to avoid all those things by Boxing so well to avoid them or it could just be seen as extremely lucky and good at the same time, or just plain lucky period.

Id have to give him credit and say its extremely lucky and being good at the same time.

Except he had bad hands and his fight against Saiko Bika was a tought one since Bika came from the School of Hopkins.

Probably luck was a factor. All it takes is one punch to change a fight.

Calzaghe's hand problems has been largely over exaggerated IMO.

            Wow.

Lucky? this is boxing. Not Las Vegas. He trains hard to win his fights. and thats what he does. He WINS. saying "OH H3 GOTZ LUCKY" is a little bit childish. He is a fighter. and he does what he has to do to win. and obviously it works

Luck is a factor. That's why better sports teams lose to inferior teams once in awhile.

he was never that good a fighter. He has a gieft decision over hopkins and he beat a 40 year old roy jones. he did everything right when it came to making sure he retired undefeated.

B Hop was the best available in 2008 and he beat him.

Anyone who thinks B Hop won that fight or it was a draw is an idiot.

He totally kicked RJJ's ass in 2008 as well.

And he beat Kessler in 2007. I guess we'll soon see how good Kessler is because of the Tourney.
