viruses on boxingscene

just as i was reading this this thread the virus thing pop up and i'm using firefox and sometimes it takes this sitetakes to other sites

there's an option in firefox that disables redirecting.

it's under Tools> Options> Advanced> General. tick that box that warns you about redirects under the Accessibility section. now every time an ad tries to take you to another site, a warning will ask you if you will allow it. works like a charm.

Directling to crappy sites that have nothing to do with boxing is one thing

but directing to sites with viruses like the one yesterday that tries and mimics a explorer window that's scanning and comes up with a virus, is pathetic.

who else has gotten viruses and trojans on boxingscene? lucky for me i have avast anti virus

Avast sucks it scans slow as hell on my system, I do good with Avg. Avg scans quite fast, and I believe it picks up a good amount of the viruses.

I've been using this website since Nov of 07. I've never come across any viruses on boxingscene. Use Mozilla Firefox with AdBlock like everyone else is telling you.

I always get directed to some site that try’s to install a virus onto my computer, I am behind a router, hardware firewall, anti virus with software firewall a real time scanner, the latest firefox version with add blocker.
I have noticed that it only directs me to that site when I am logged onto my account if I browse the site as a guest it never does.

If you want a good anti-virus, try avira. I works well against most trojans and worms
