he is a joke. he once said he was better than leonard and robinson. those guys fought the best. hagler, hearns,duran,leonard, were the best in their day and all fought each other. mayweather has a chicken heart. and will always make excuses.i personally would like to see him stay retired. hes a waste of talent

There was plenty of challenges for Floyd and he took the path with the least resistance with the most compesation. He fights Judah after he lost to Baldomir and then he fights Baldomir which outlasted Judah. HBO build these fights like it was a real challenge for Floyd but the common fan knew better. ODH was a good fight for him but there were other challenges that he didn't accept. He will give all kinds of excuses why he didn't fight one or another fighter(I have a video Margarito challenging him). Either it was not gonna bring him enough money or they didn't call him out or whatever else filled in his mood. He can not proclaim himself the best, we do. I don't mind the confidence that he has in himself but boxing is not the cure for cancer and money doesn't make you better than anybody or a boxing legend.

I saw Margs challenge better yet ask for a fight at the press conference. Now from a business stand point it was high risk low reward. Margarito wasnt going to make him a house hold name. My point is that mayweather called out a lot of guys and they turned him down for business reasons or what ever. He didnt call them chumps on camera. He just stayed undefeated and now he is on the top looking down. So boxing fans are against him because he says it publicly. I dont remember some out cry when May was not the driver but he was the best passenger on the boxing bus. Young, ****y, vocal, and black is bad combo when trying to be the peoples champ. Its funny that he agrees with the haters when it comes to dirty promoters and keeping boxing on top but thats only cool if hes quiet.

Good article man! People always hating on this guy for his mouth! Don't mistake his arrogance for trying to sell his self in this sport. Only a few good softspoken fighters ever make it to the level he is at. I'm proud of the guy and all other boxers should learn a lesson...at least in how to deal with promoters and their future.

Pacquiao made it to the top with out trash talking. Pacquiao's fight is sold out in two days without saying a word.

Now Floyd is using Pacquiao's name to sell his fight.

What's not to hate on these press release?

They are saying that everybody should thank May bcoz he retired to allow other boxers to earn big money. Margarito-Cotto, SSM-Cotto, Margarito-SSM will still happen if he didn't retire. While its true that Pacquiao could not have fought DLH if he didn't retire. But floyd didn't retire so that Pacquiao could fight DLH. Floyd retired bcoz nobody would watch his 2nd fight with DLH. They spent millions to hype the 1st fight and everybody was disappointed to see a boring fight. Floyd retired bcoz he is afraid of Margarito, SSM, Cotto and Williams.

Floyd is saying he will fight the best but returned to fight JMM when SSM and Williams are looking for opponents. While JMM is one of the best at lower weights, he is too small at WW.
