Floyd only fought who ever was safe that was popular (Gatti, DelaHoya, Hatton), as soon there was nobody left he retired. IMO he was not going to risk it against the Margarito's, William's and Cotto's of the world. Guys were tired talking about him and kept fighting each other. Even when he was around the top WW had a lot of good fighters facing each other. In a few days we will hear again Floyd's soft side and that he is really a nice guy.

As much as I dislike Floyd as a person he does have skills to beat anybody. His brash comments and out of boxing activities are actually good for the sport, controversy always sells.

Anyways, i'm glad Floyd is back! He came back for the winner of Pacquiao vs Cotto..so if Cotto vs Mayweather never happens, blame Cotto himself. One time he was too green, second time he got hit too much against Judah, third time he got a hometown dec against Mosley, 4th time he quit against Margarito, let's see what he does for his 5th try on impressing Floyd well enough to get Floyd to dance with him. If not then we have Pacquiao vs Mayweather...
Nuthugging Jesus is more like it.

I think he'll do fine, Mayweather did 325K against Baldomir a No Namer, JMM is MUCH MUCH bigger name then Baldomir and Mayweather is alot more known now, I'm expecting this fight to do better numbers then people think, it'll be a good day for boxing now that it'll be seen in Mexico for free and Movie theaters.

Thanking who??? WTF!!! Thank himself! If he did not retire, Cotto or Margarito most probably busted his ass two years ago. At the age of 30 then, with no loss, the only reason he retires was because he wanted to protect his no lose record from Cotto, Mosley or MArgarito, because at that time these three were on top of their careers and they were the immenent threat to his no loss record! But PBF clearly ducked them!

Biggest drawer??? I believe so if PBF surpassed the PPV sells of Pac-Cotto! if not then he was not the biggedt draw, plain and simple! Now that has returned, it would be his biggest error because the time he would retire again soon, there would be one lose to his record!!!

Floyd Mayweather is a self-fulfilling prophecy... he's telling the world that he's the second coming of Ali and, at some point or another, the world is going to start believing him. He's very smart, if not brave...

People should also thank Floyd for making the earth revolve around the sun.

                    Man, Leonard Ellerbe annoys me.

Fuck the JMM fight, but after that, he can truly cement his gr8ness and close strong if he wants too. I hope he takes on the top 2 guys at WW and don't let $ n ego ruin it for him or for us fans. We just gotta wait n see.
Agreed but as long as people dont look for a Mayweather Pac fight. People complain about JMM being too small. Pacs the same size so why is it ok to fight Pac but not JMM (IMO a tune up fight)?

Pacs great but not Mayweather Great! He will be beaten and people will return to the he was too small etc etc etc. Anything to discredit Mayweather.

If Mayweather fights and beats Mosley its because he's old and hasnt fight since beating the cheater.

If he fights and beats Cotto is because Cotto was destroyed by the cheater...

No matter who he fights people cry after the fact. Like now, EVERYONES game to see him fight Pac (the smaller guy) but not JMM (because he's a small guy too right???????) But after mayweather beats Pac it will because he was too small (just as JMM was right?????????????).
