Oh, C'mon...money changes people...only people that want the good life with positive changes like getting away from the thug menatallity get away from their past. People can and do put the past behind them. Many, many people have dug their way out of poverty to live better lives. People in worse positions than floyd was in his humble beginings, too. He gets no sympathy from me.

It's called people places and things. You gotta make a concious effort to change all this if you want a different life. Apparently Floyd did not. He comes off acting like a pimp, flashing all his material world toys and bragging and STILL shooting his mouth off. He's ego got the best of him.

I used to be a big time floyd fan, but when he went into early retirement in his prime with so much unfinished biz, with his precious "0" on hi s record, that right there made me lose my respect for the man. but i still respect his record, for whatever that's worth.

He choose to still live in da hood, so his decisions caught up with him.

I think it's a shame how black athletes today rather then be grateful for what they have and be thankful to be out of poverty still try to keep and maintain that thug and street personality. Seriously, how more ******ed can you get? That's their money they are ****ing with, no one elses. Kirkland is on gun charges, Vernon is dead, Vick spent a year in prison, Burress is serving jail time too for shooting himself in the foot with an unregistered weapon, etc.
I could expect **** like that from rappers but athletes?
Not only is that bad for sports but it's a bad reflection on black society.
