Poll : Was Delahoya- Mayweather a size mismatch?

Oscar had been fighting at 154 for many years, and had fought as high as 160. Mayweather had never fought above 147.

On fight night, Oscar was 166. Floyd was 148.

    Was this a size mismatch?

Yes. But Floyd's skill negated the advantage

Damn Oscar was 166 against Floyd and what, 147 on fight night against Manny, right? Im pretty sure Manny came in at 148, on fight night.

Floyd's greatest victory in my eyes.

DLH was still a decent boxer. It makes me laugh when people compare Manny's victory over DLH to Floyd's.

Floyd fought the FAR, FAR, FAR better fighter. Far better.

Oscar was bigger yes but it didn't matter.

But you have no way to know these weights 166 and 148.

DLH had a clear size advantage over Mayweather.

I heard Floyd was 150 on the night ? not that it really makes a difference though.

De la Hoya was the same fighter against both guys.

The difference was that DLH had seriously overtrained for the Pacquiao fight were against Mayweather he was in the best shape he could of been.

Mismatch, no - the proof is in the pudding

It was as big a size advantage as you'll see in a fight of that magnitude though
