During a contest at the CanSecWest event, security researchers competed to exploit vulnerabilities in web browsers. Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer were all successfully compromised, but Chrome was able to withstand the first day of the competition.

No problem at all, use firefox. Pop ups are advertisements but i don't think they posses any threats..

Get these:
1. internet security - (mine zonealarm - update frequently)
2. CCleaner - cleans browser from *******s et. al.
3. pagedfrg

Install Firefox + these add-on's:
Adblock Plus (subscribe to EasyList after install)
Flashblock
NoScript
SafeCache


Also install PeerGuardian 2 (subscribe to the ad blocking list) and have a good firewall. I use Sygate, it's an old version. Comodo would be OK, and it's free. Lastly, there's a hardware firewall built into my router.

Nothing gets past this. All the above software is free. Go use it. You have no excuse to be getting viruses and ****.

Yeah, because it's a brand new browser. All the well-established browsers mentioned above have been around long enough for people to exploit the code. Give it 5 years and people will change their tune about any browser. Chrome isn't anywhere near as good as Firefox with the right (security based) add-on's installed.

Very simple solution; use firefox with NoScript.

use firefox with adblock...that should help with the viruses...


what they really need to work on is the server....it lags ALOT....and im guessing that its hurting their ad revenue when traffic dips

and download firefox no scripts. thats what realy puts a stop to them
