The Controversial Decision Does More for Paulie Than a Win

It might have helped his career, but it does boxing as a sport no favors. It just shows me how political of a sport boxing has become. I used to love watching these wars but when you have outcomes like this all of the time just because you have so much invested in a fighter, it just gets ridiculous. There have been so many awful decisions over the last 5 years or so that something needs to be done. Our once beloved sport is becoming way to corrupt.
except for the fact i think it exposes the courruption by paulie really speaking out in the post fight interview. bringing to light that he was wronged and seemed to have enough proof to make 80 something or 90 something percent of the US to believe him (according to a poll on ESPN where 80 or 90 percent of the voters agreed paulie was wronged).
so it makes him come out like a winner (i dont think too many people really believe in their heart he lost or lost fairly to say the least) and thats why there is talk of him fighting bradley. if diaz just knocked him out in the 8th round or whatnot we wouldnt be having this conversation right?
and it really has brought courruption to the limelight. yes fighters alledge being robbed often. but not to many make as big of a ruckus about it as paulie does. he put his heart on his sleeve and preached.
and the fact he alledged it would happen before the fight ever took place and it just so happened that one of the judges he accused gave him the worst score of them all really does make him look like the good guy in the situation.
so i think for his career and boxing as a whole overall it was a brilliant night for both of them. paulie probably didnt even realize it though.Comment
