Frank Warren is the biggest promoter in England and has some good boxers, the reason he gets criticized so much is because he protects a lot of them, Hatton and Calzaghe come to mind. I will give you some names to watch out for who he promotes David Barnes(Welterweight, Kevin Mitchell(Super Featherweight), Enzo Maccarinelli (Cruiserweight). We will see if he protects these the same.

What makes Warren so tedious is his strict adherence to "least threat, biggest payday". You could say everyone's like that, though I suppose that - a name that comes to mind - DLH should be credited with balls.

Frank Warren runs a monopoly in UK boxing to the detriment of world class UK fighters such as Hatton and Calzaghe. He protects his fighters as the the likes of hatton and calzaghe always sell out arenas ensuring Warren walks away with a healthy pay packet as a promoter. British fans have longed seeing these guys fight world class opponents. Unfortunately Warren is happier these guys fighting C and D class fighters, building up a 40-0 record and bringing home the cash than seeing them face world class american fighters.

If I were Amir Khan's adviser I would tell him to go start his professional career in US for a good crack at a decent career.

did anyone read the article he wrote about the harrison/jmm fight falling through? it is on the main page of this site and it made my blood boil when i read it. 50 years ago if a british fighter got offered a shot at a great fighter like marquez he would have climbed over hot coals to sign, with warren these days are long gone. everything that is wrong with boxing in this country is frank warren. he even gets shot and the bastard still won't die.

are lot of people think Frank Warren is the best promoter in England. He is not in the slightest might have the most money. The best that can be said about him was he was the Promoter who found Nigel Bennn and had him on TV every month knocking out bums.

Nigel left him has he was paying silly money. He never promoted the Benn vs Eubanks but had Joint Promotions with Don King and Barry Hearns lost in court to Don King over Hamed promotional rights. Since Hamed left never had a decent fighter. When Hatton gets knocked out by Tszyu he will say "Hatton should have moved his head more and not be so aggressive".
