  • Arthur Mercante Jr: Cotto is a tough kid but I think he is taking this fight too soon

    DT – Pacquiao/ Cotto?

AMJ – Same thing, Cotto is a tough kid but I think he is taking this fight too soon after the bad cut suffered from the Clottey fight. That fight was mid July and I just don’t know if Cotto’s cut has had time to heal. Pacquiao is very fast and accurate with his punches I just believe that Cotto has not had enough time to heal from the Clottely fight.

Thats why am picking Pacman in this fight, Cotto has been into too many wars in his last 4-5 fights because they were hard fights, While Pac has made easy work of his last 4-5 fights, Pacman is refresh and doesnt have to cut weight while cotto is doing the opposite...For me Cotto doesnt have alot of good chance in winning this fight.

i think pac will target the cut that cotto got fighting clottey and he wont have problems doing so cause not only that hes got speed and power but he also have precision in throwing punches

Pac's punches are going to hurt cotto and he's going to land them because he has the southpaw stance and the speed to go with it, No disrespect to cotto but he doesnt have the technical ability that JMM possess which gave Pac problems, If cotto gets cut in this fight then its over because pac would definitely work the cut.

Cotto is going to have to suck it up. He has been head butted, upper cutted and plastered in his last tough fights, all resulting in cuts and massive bleeding.

If Cotto takes a huge pounding from the buzzsaw, I might want to see Cotto hang up his gloves. We will know soon enough.

if he loses against pac, i think he can still have some decent fights at welter. ill be selfish for a while and ask him to fight more
