i think korobov would hammer jacobs... much more polished fighter at the time being, with tons of power.

Korobov didn't look real impressive last time out either and he has less fights and hasn't fought nothing but cans.

I think Korobov's upside is higher than Jacobs but at this stage he wouldn't hammer Jacobs. He is still very green and while he has shown good power so did Jacobs on his way up the rankings.

I like him but let him get some fights under his belt before we can really make an ascertation about what he can really do

he's still learning. Ishe smith has a difficult style and is hard to hit flush. it was a learning experience for Jacobs. he'll get better, he's still young

everyone just sloowww down...he is only 22, it's hard to gauge where he will be at the end of his career...look at who he has been facing at 20-22 yrs old and compare it to what Pavlik was facing about that age...Jacobs has fought much better comp...hell Felix Sturm had a stretch when he was 22 where the combined record for his opponents were 57-154. Just let the kid grow some more and we'll see what happens

Korobov dropped and stopped Jacobs in the amatuers. Now I know its different between amateurs and pros. It's just that Danny doesnt looked like he evolved since his amateur days and Korobov has.

Korobov is better suited to the professional game too, no doubt.

But I believe he's big and strong enough to be campaigning at 168, which Jacobs shouldn't do just yet.

I would pick Korobov over him also. You guys?
I have an inkling that he doesn't have the sturdiest chin.

His defense is lacking, and he doesn't sit down on any of his shots, even though he could if he wanted too. Hes just the latest example of what is wrong with the amateur system. Its spitting out fighters unprepared for the pro game.

I don't think he's ever going to reach the super star level, probably going to end up being a guy like Rocky Juarez. Great amateur career, but just not suited to the pro game at the top level.

I'd be inclined to agree with you if it were not for the fact that his last fight was a "learning experience" too. He apparently didn't learn anything from it.
