    Jermain Taylor - Your Verdict?

What do you guys think about him?

I thought Hopkins had the fight in the bag both times, the first fight was close, but I was pretty surprised he beat Hopkins the second time. After the draw with Wright, split win over Spinks and his losses to Pavlik, I thought he'd had it. beating Jeff Lacy, yeah...ok. The Froch fight almost made me like him again, but he had to go and ruin it.

Now that he's in the tournament, he basically has to win to secure any sort of legacy. I have him losing to Abraham and Kessler, and everything else is a pick'em fight, i've lost a lot of confidence in him.

The question is, if he wins, is there a renewed respect for him.

And if he loses, is he destined to be a once-great gatekeeper, or can he find success?

he has alotta potential to be a "great" fighter...

he just makes these like rookie mistakes that lead him to losing
      (Pavlik fight and froch fight)

but nontheless i like the style that he fights in idk why i just do

I think he is done on the top level. I believe he has a chance against Abe since Abe has such a low output, but Froch isn't exactly a volume guy and he blasted JT late. Abe has more power than anyone Taylor has ever faced.

He had a lot of potential but seemed to stagnate in his development once he got to the top, what you see now is pretty much how he'll be for the rest of his career. If he wins the tourney, much credit to him but I don't see him making it past the first round really. If he loses in tourney who knows? Maybe he'll stick around for some paydays like a lot of fighters do, he would still have his name value.

              Can we really blame him?

He's always fighting the elite give the man a ****ing break.

              Lacy
              Froch

Now Abraham, I fear him has bigger power moving up in weight.

I said this before Jermain has the skills and talent to easily outpoint AA or any SMW on the cards and though it is down played he does have power but is a ****ty finisher. I want to believe he will improve on the area where he is lacking which is to be dedicated and build some stamina but am not confident he will. If he is to win the tourney it would be a pretty significant comeback after 2 ko losses in 4 fights, but I don't think he will get past AA.
