Dec 5th Drama: Pavlik-Williams or Mosley-Berto/Clottey?

The latest I've read is Steve Kim on the Maxboxing message board saying Pavlik had surgery to clean out his hand and the Pavlik-Williams fight could be back on for December 5th. He said we should know more today, but there was nothing in his article today on the front page over there.

Nothing from Rafael at ESPN and nothing from Ringtv.com either.

GBP's Richard Schaefer was adamant that Dec. 5th is Mosley's date and he will fight either Berto or Clottey. He went out his way to say he was sorry about the Pavlik-Williams situation but that it's not his fault that the fight got postponed and he was not willing to move off the date.

So, what happens? I think we can all agree that Pavlik-Williams on HBO WCB (and not PPV) is much better for boxing than Mosley-Berto or Clottey.

Ya put me down for wanting to see Pav-P-Will over Berto-SSM. Berto-SSM will be a nothin more than a clinch fest. Pav-P-Will will be an all-out WAR.

Maybe Toprank and Goldenboy can work together to have joint PPV.

Maybe Israel and ********* can get together for a potluck dinner.

Mosley vs Berto would be very important for boxing,because it would unify a piece of the welterweight landscape full of elite fighters!!If Mosley were to win,he would further tighten his grip on welterweight supremacy!!Plus he needs to fight soon,because at his age he can't afford to take longgggg layoffs!!!

The Punisher_Pavlik,is also very important for boxing,160 was a prestine division,but since the reign of Pavlik & his bullsh&t title defences,it became quite dull!!People are still sceptical about the Punisher,so a win for him here would leave no doubts about what I feel he does for boxing,which is fight for the sport with all 83 inches of reach that he has!!

It will be interesting to see what HBO does here. HBO doesn't have enough money for Pavlik-Williams and Mosley-Berto, but now the problem is dates as well as money. Someone is going to get the short end of the stick here, and it may be the fans.
