you bet he ducked Herbie Hide whose promoter Barrie Hearns was on British TV almost weekly calling for a Lennox Lewis fight so too was Hide who was undefeated in 95 and the WBO champion, but Lewis chose to fight Lionel Butler 22-10-1 and Justin Fortune 11-2-1 makes sense on the part of Lewis

well if you call keeping the No1 contender waiting 18 months for a title shot then refusing to fight him and being stripped of the title not ducking then i musta been wrong.

Byrd beat a 3 year older bersion of Evander who hurt his shoulder in the first round and Ruiz went 1-1-1 with Evander which should have been 1-2 really.
