For all those who think Rocky Marcian has a chance against Holyfield

There have been past threads that have brought up the mythical matchup between Holyfield - Marciano and a good number of folks actually think Rocky has a legit shot at beating a Holyfield in his prime!! I can understand if you're Italian-American and put Marciano up that high, but, everybody else is insane.

My response to that is, "Are you f**kin' kiddin' me" .

Please guys, name one thing that Marciano does better than The Real Deal ?

Physical attributes, there's not one thing Rocky does better than Holy!

Mental toughness - Holy is every bit as tough, I would say, this is the only category Rocky might just be on even terms with Holy, maybe slightly more, but this is very subjective.

Holy has faced monster punchers in his heyday. He'd snicker at one of Rocky's sledgehammer rights if one were to land square on Holy's face.

Holy will kill his gelato eatin' @ss!

Toney, BHop and Roy all smash him. Rocco is too one dimensional.

Holy would crush Rocky as would many other good fighters at HW, CW, and LHW.....I don't let my Italianess cloud my reason.

        rocky could beat holyfield.

rocky doesn't stand a chance against any other modern heavyweight because of the size issue but holyfield is the exception.

holyfield would probably beat rocky with a tko because of cuts though but i wouldn't put it pass rocky to win by decision.

you guys are heavily overrating evander's skills. too many do because he was such a warrior and entertaining fighter.

evander was good but don't make it sound like rocky has no chance.

Marciano would have smashed Holyfield. Holyfield lead with his head too much in his prime

Rocky COULD have won but proberbly wouldn't have, this is the only fight Rocky would have a shot to win out of the modern heavies due to size.

I would say Rockys the bigger puncher but it's irrelevant as Holy has a granite chin. I'd say a Holyfield UD is the most likely outcome.

marciano had more power than holyfield.
marciano could hit with more force than an armour piercing bullet and that would required the same amount of energy as it would to dead lift 1000 pounds 1 foot off the ground.
and marciano had the stamina to throw 70 to 100 punches a round.
holyfield only had better hand speed and was taller than marciano.

Oh look,The village idiots have popped out of their pumpkin shaped houses to try and reinforce the old "past heavyweights are too small for this era" argument,The only problem here is that Evander Holyfield himself isn't known as a big heavyweight himself so they can't use that argument instead going with the "modern fighters are just more skilled" argument

same kind of ******,ignorant noobs that hbo looks to attract with their ****** documentaries and countdown shows,It's very easy to mislead and manipulate dumb sheep who have no clue about boxing

                  size DOES matter.

the only people that doesn't think it does are guys with little ****s.

that's why boxing (like most individual sports) has weight divisions.

with fighters of equal or close fighting ability and skill , size does play a factor.

the size issue doesn't apply in this case because holyfield was a small heavy himself so talk about who you think would win and stfu with your dumb pov.

It all depends on which Holyfield shows up but smart money is on The Real Deal.
Evander is good at putting shots together, until he gets tired in the mid rounds.
He's also a very good counter puncher with an all time great chin so I think he's a mixmatch for the Rock.
