Train all you want, My Question is not about training but how bout that heart????

Not that physical pump but the deep recesses of solid forititude that is unbreakable, deep gameness when in the trenches , there is no QUIT !!!!

Will you take that KNEE for another DAY ???

i guess team cotto doesn't need any strategy against the pacman. cotto's physical trainer already arrived early in PR which means they are more concerned about the physical nature of his training. meanwhile, pac's coach freddie roach is busy watching all the cotto fights looking for a flaw in cotto's arsenal that he and pacquiao might exploit during the fight.

In the end, they're shouldn't be any excuses because both accepted the challenge but it's not irrational to discuss a possible loss from either of the two, is it?
If you read properly my post I never said Cotto was not going to be bigger, however I did was relaying my opinion, that the gap between both fighters in terms of the weight would be closer than people think because of the catchweight (Cotto at 147 barely came in at 160 therefore he should come in around 155-158 with a 145 weight limit) and becasue of Pacman's body getting use to being over 140. The 1st time he fought over 140 (for DLH) he weighed in fight night at 148, don't expect that to be his weight for the Cotto fight, it should be around 150-152 because they will also try to build him even bigger and stronger.

Regarding your question, No, I agree with you that it's not irrational to discuss a possible loss specially in terms of strategy, but not in terms of excuses.

I think what they are trying to do is just right.

They are focusing in Cotto's conditioning and speed without affecting his power during this 1st period of training and then drag that conditioning (obvoulsy with out overtraining) to the strategy portion of the training when they move the camp to Florida. I'm sure they will have plenty of videos and sparring partners to "simulate" (impossible task) Pacquiao. We must remember that Cotto can't start his hard part of physicall contact to soon due to his cut against Clottey, so there's no harm to start to work on his conditioning in the meantime.

This is right on point...Good post.

Cotto said in an interview before the catch weight was agreed upon that he was not going to leave it all in the gym like Dela Hoya did.

It's funny to me that people don't think Cotto and his top notch nutrionalist understand the aspect of over training....These people are professionals....and know Cotto's body more then any poster on NSB...

im assuming that your dominican. im puerto rican and get my shape-ups in a dominican barbershop, nothing but dominican barbers. you know they all get their eyebrows trimmed?

the reason why i go to that shop is because my best friend who is puerto rican has mostly dominican friends(cuz they all sell coke) anyway my friend introduced me to his friends and took me to the barbershop, they cut hair very good! but my first time there the barber(dominican) asks me "do you want me to trim your eyebrows?" he noticed i never trimmed them and i told him no i dont ever do that ****. he looked at me like i was crazy and continued.

you see im a 30 year old puerto rican who grew up back in the days were no man did that **** cuz it was a female thing. moral of the story: STFU CUZ DOMINICANS TRIM THEIR EYEBROWS AS MUCH AS PUERTO RICANS. THE END!!!

                    p.s. love the avy!!!

Cotto could had quit with the gash that Clottey gave him and would had won the fight. In his own words he said that he owed it to the crowd to keep on fighting. Pac is no Margo and Cotto is no DelaHoya. Codintioning has a lot to do with the mental aspect.
