A fair view on paulie/diaz fight...(yes paulie won)

Yes I felt Paulie got screwed but.....I'm not a big fan of Diaz or Paulie..So I'll try and make this fair.Whether you like it or not Diaz isnt that good. He's a straight ahead one dimensionial fighter..he's fun but he isnt that good..(my opinion) and Paulie is a jabber who doesnt pack alot of power..yes paulie did get screwed and I hated that for him..I fear boxing is trying to make Juan Diaz something more than he is...Yes, he is an entertaining fighter to watch and has alot of fans...but honestly he's not that good.Paulie is a good straight jabber who wont put you to sleep but he will beat you on points..Neither guy is that great..honestly but I hate to see someone get screwed so I feel bad for paulie..anyways just my opinion on both of them..If one is your favorite fighter no hate here just an opinion..take it or leave it..anyone agree with my opinion??

When I first scored the fight I had it even. When I saw the fight again I can give Paulie a round or two for a win on his behalf. However, I just don't see a Diaz win. Paulie got screwed sadly.

Personally I think Juan Diaz is not good but very good.

Don't know how you can say otherwise.

lol Exactly. I just don't think he's a 140 lb fighter. Paulie got torn up in that second round by those classic Diaz combo's, but when Paulie used his height and started moving back, that took a lot of the fight away from Diaz. I think if the Hatton fight takes place, a lot of people will get a rude awakening on who Diaz is. But after that, Diaz should probably go back to 135. The guys at 140 are just too tall, all they'll have to do is jab down on Diaz and make sure not to let him let his hands go. Which actually puts him in a interesting situation, because no one is really as defensive minded and as jab happy as Paulie is at 140.

I don't think Diaz is that great, I like to watch him a lot though. I don't really think that they are making him out to be anything, I mean not like an elite fighter, cause that he is not. But he does throw a lot of punches...(not against paulie) But usually.

i pretty much agree with this. juan is an exciting FIGHTER but not a talented BOXER. Juan will always bring in the fans so long as he remains entertaining which doesnt look like he's slowing down anytime soon.

As far as paulie goes...he's a world class opponent at the least...not some tune-up opponent on a FNF's show. i dont think he'll ever become a p4p fighter. i dont think he'll ever be an elite fighter. just a damn good boxer who will have marginal success in boxing. i can see him winning at least one more title in his career to be fair. probably at 140. however if he can go lower than 140 i'd encourage him to do so...especially how fast and focused he was below 140 against diaz. if he can make a lower weight in a healthy manner then thats where he will shine especially since he looked the best he has since the first ndou fight last night.
