'cause that will put it bigger than Oscar-Mayweather.
Even if it does it wouldn't effect the numbers that much.

170 movie theaters are showing it. Lets say an average of 50 people at each one, that's only 8,500.

Im not counting the Theatre PPV's, just saying when they advertise the fight in movie theatres before a film, that would also help this PPV.

But damn, the theatre experience would be awesome, wish they were showing it in UK too.

should movie tickets, popcorn and drinks be added to the total?

I dunno. Assuming each theater holds 150-300 you gotta assume they can at least average 100 per theater. Add to that the fact that they can actually tally the total number of theater viewers and not just the estimated viewers in a room (you know there are some houses with 40 dudes in them)and it might actually make the number go higher.

                    You're overestimating boxing's popularity.

Also 170 theatres will be showing the actual fight, but over 1,500 screens will show a 30 second commercial before a film starts. Assuming the theatre holds 200 people, thats like 300k people watching the commercial who came to watch a movie. Who knows how many might be interested in watching the fight after they have seen the 30 seconds clip? It will surely help the PPV.
