If Vargas waited until, lets say 26 or so, would he have been dominant? I think Feroz was just on his way up when he went up against Tito. Thoughts?

He might of had more wins but you have to fight these type of fighters to find out how good you are. He showed he was a good fighter just not to the level of them though

He would've beaten Mayorga but still lost to Shane.

If Tito hadn't cheated against Vargas how good would Vargas have been? He'd be ranked up there with Tito and the Golden Boy.

Tito weakened Vargas with low blows on purpose that ****** cheat. Tito ruined Vargas the same way Marg ruined Cotto. By cheating

          Agreed.

Plus, there was the wear-and-tear on Vargas that came from outside of the fights with Tito and DLH. Vargas had some grueling fights elsewhere with Quartey and Wright, and also had those back injuries.

Some people had bodies that just aren't as good at dealing with the wear-and-tear as others.

Personally I think he would have been extremely good.Easy HOFer.

He could have fought them anyway but not that fast.

Before Tito he already faced Raul Marquez, Campos, Wright, and Quarty. That boy was a beast and fought great comp. I couldn't see him at 160 at all that time. Now I can see him at HW. The only people he never faced was Vernon Forrest and maybe Daniel Santos.

He woulda gone farther no doubt. But that's why he's held in high regard. He had his career shortened by those fights, but he dared to be gr8. Vargas is a warrior.

vargas would've still lost to the best fighters he would've fought.

plus that thyroid problem would pop up sooner or later.
