LAS VEGAS - Police today inspected the Rolls Royce of boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. as part of an investigation by a shootout outside a skating rink in Las Vegas, authorities said.
No one was hurt in the incident, but another car was shot between 10 and 11 Sunday night against Crystal Palace Skating Center, said police Lt. Patrick Charoen.
The officer Bill Cassell, spokesman for the Las Vegas police reported that it was unclear if Mayweather was present at the scene when the shooting occurred.
Charoen said several witnesses gave a description of the Rolls-Royce and mentioned that he was involved in the shooting.
The researchers obtained permission to review the vehicle in one of the mansions of Mayweather in Las Vegas.
"It means he's involved," said Charoen on Mayweather. "There is a definite suspect. It is simply that the vehicle was seen on the site.
Mayweather's agent, Leonard Ellerbe, denied that the boxer was involved in the incident. Declined to address whether the order of Mayweather was at the scene.
Mayweather, 32, resides and trains in Las Vegas. Ellerbe said Mayweather will today, as scheduled, a presentation in a television professional wrestling.
Winner of six world championships in five divisions, Mayweather sheds again on September 19 with a bout against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
