After judging 65 world title fights, you should be experienced enough to not let the crowd affect your scorecard.

It happens sometmes though and you may not even realise it, if you don't see a punch clearly land because it was blocked by the ref etc. but the crowd are cheering like crazy as if it landed. Then you might think it landed...

But whatever Van Hoy was ******ed or something that night cause 118 is way to high for Diaz.

more or less this is what i was going to say in return to the other poster's comment. its true. while many jabs did miss paulie still landed a whole hella lot more of his jabs than diaz. in fact. according to compubox (again bustin out those facts) paulie landed 111 of 621 jabs to diaz' landing 55 of 229.

so paulie landed twice as many jabs as juan did and threw 3x's as many as well. hell paulie threw 80 something of them in the very first round! in fact. in NO round did diaz land more jabs than paulie. NONE.

paulie threw nearly 300 more punches than diaz.

keep in mind were talking about PAULIE (the boxer) against diaz (the VOLUME PUNCHER).
